Thrive - clinical reference
A licensed healthcare practitioner can help you understand what applies to your specific situation.
Ask your doctor or pharmacist to determine your level of Thrive (Nicotine) dependence. They can teach you how to use the Thrive (Nicotine) gum effectively and give you tips on quitting smoking. Initial treatment should be based on your level of Thrive (Nicotine) dependence.
When you start to experience a cigarette craving, start chewing one piece of gum. Proper use of the gum is important to receiving the greatest benefit from it. Do not chew the gum as you would ordinary chewing gum. Bite on the gum once or twice and then leave it between your cheek and gum. Repeat after 1 minute. Continue this for 30 minutes, then discard the gum. Repeat this process for every cigarette craving.
It is recommended that you do not drink fluids while chewing the gum since this may affect the ability of the medication to deliver Thrive (Nicotine). The dosage is individualized and depends on how much Thrive (Nicotine) is needed to relieve Thrive (Nicotine) withdrawal symptoms.
For the first 2 to 4 weeks of treatment, a higher dose (10 to 12 pieces of gum per day) is used, and then the dose is gradually reduced over the next 4 to 12 weeks. When you reach only 1 or 2 pieces per day, then the gum can be stopped. The maximum dose is 20 pieces per day. Most people need a 3 month treatment, although some may need treatment for up to 6 months. You should not use the Thrive (Nicotine) gum for more than 6 months without consulting with your doctor.
Many things can affect the dose of medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
It is important that Thrive (Nicotine) be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
Store Thrive (Nicotine) at room temperature, protect it from light and moisture, and keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater (e.g. down the sink or in the toilet) or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some adverse effects, notably: it may increase your appetite; it may cause headaches; it may cause dizziness - use caution when getting up from a lying or sitting position and use caution if driving; it may cause hiccups; it may cause nausea or, rarely, vomiting; it may increase your heart rate. Each person may react differently to a treatment. If you think this medication may be causing adverse effects (including those described here, or others), talk to your health care professional. He or she can help you to determine whether or not the medication is the source of the problem.

If you are taking any of these medications, speak with your doctor or pharmacist. Depending on your specific circumstances, your doctor may want you to:
- stop taking one of the medications,
- change one of the medications to another,
- change how you are taking one or both of the medications, or
- leave everything as is.
An interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. Speak to your doctor about how any drug interactions are being managed or should be managed.
Medications other than those listed above may interact with Thrive (Nicotine). Tell your doctor or prescriber about all prescription, over-the-counter (non-prescription), and herbal medications you are taking. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, alcohol, the Thrive (Nicotine) from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, you should let your prescriber know if you use them.
Before you begin using a medication, be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or Allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breast-feeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should use Thrive (Nicotine).
Medical conditions: If you have Thyroid conditions, Diabetes, stomach ulcers, heart disease, blood vessel disease, Kidney Disease, mouth or throat inflammation, or dental problems that might be made worse by chewing gum, discuss with your doctor how Thrive (Nicotine) may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Thrive (Nicotine), and whether any special monitoring is needed.
Pregnancy: Thrive (Nicotine) should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant while taking Thrive (Nicotine), contact your doctor immediately.
Breast-feeding: Thrive (Nicotine) passes into breast milk. If you are a breast-feeding mother and are using Thrive (Nicotine) gum, it may affect your baby. Do not breast-feed while you are using Thrive (Nicotine).
Children and adolescents: The safety and effectiveness of Thrive (Nicotine) have not been established for people under 18 years of age.
It is very important to keep Thrive (Nicotine) out of the reach of children as their sensitivity to Thrive (Nicotine) is much higher than that of adults.
This pharmacologic treatment should be an integral part of a global treatment program that could include supportive psychological, educational or other measures. To produce its effect, nicotine must be absorbed through the mucous membrane in the mouth, not swallowed with saliva. The lozenge should be allowed to dissolve in the mouth like a hard candy. How to use it:<br/> Let the lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth until the taste becomes strong and/or you feel a tingling sensation. Then, place the lozenge between your cheek and jaw and leave it there for about 1 minute, or until the taste fades. Resume sucking on the lozenge until the taste becomes intense again. Place the lozenge back between the cheek and jaw, ideally in a different spot. Repeat these steps until the lozenge is completely dissolved (20 to 30 minutes). Do not chew the lozenge, break it, or swallow it whole. Do not take more than one lozenge at a time. Coffee, juice, and soft drinks make the mouth acidic, which impedes the absorption of nicotine through the mucous membrane. To maximize this product's effect, avoid eating or drinking during use and 15 minutes before use. Generally, this medication is used only as needed. Important: Follow the instructions on the label. Do not use more of this product, or more often, than prescribed.

I reached out to a Pocketpills regarding some issues I was experiencing with my skin. The pharmacist assisting me got back to me within the hour. She was helpful in suggesting remedies and providing instructions. The prescription was filled instantaneously. The entire process was perfect - amazing communication, live updates through text, phone and email. The reminders were extremely helpful. Delivery was efficient and seamless. I felt cared for every step of the way. Thank you for everything
I wanted to make a change to the formulation of my prescription and the pharmacist promptly made the changes necessary to adapt my prescription to suit my skin. And delivered 2 days before scheduled. Thank you!

This is our first time experience of using Pocketpills. It was very convenient to prescribe the acne medication with pharmacist, rather than to have a long wait with a doctor. Thank you for the fast delivery and service!
Very reliable with fast shipping! The app is easy to use, fees are fair, and there is excellent communication! Highly recommend.

I got my prescription delivered for free within 4 business days. All went smoothly which was pretty good. This was easy and I will use it again.
Great and fast service. It's cheaper and easier than going to a pharmacy.
Time is the currency of life. Pocketpills gives me my time back. 100% recommend!
Super easy, lower prices, real Dr review. The pharmacist even reached out to me about my dosage. I feel very comfortable and well looked after by people who seem to actually care. It's been a great experience. So much so that I've recommended Pocket Pills to my friends and family.
Fast delivery even before estimated delivery date. Its great not having to go to a physical pharmacy. I highly reccommend pocketpills

I really, really appreciate this service, it makes staying on top of my medication so much easier. The team has also always been kind and helpful to me in every interaction I've had. The free shipping is incredibly nice, they keep me informed about the shipping process for my medication, and they manage my refills and contact my doctor if necessary. It takes a lot of little stresses off my plate, especially as someone with ADHD who is not the best at managing these little stresses. The app is also nicely organized and easy to use, and I can communicate with a pharmacist through text or call whenever I need. Not to be dramatic, but Pocket Pills has genuinely improved my life!
Pocketpill makes it easy and efficient to ship and deliver on time. Medication shouldn't be a source of stress - something Pocketpill seems to understand
I received all my prescriptions as promised, delivered straight to my door. So much easier than it ever has been to get my pills. Thanks!

Very fast and efficient service. They are good at communicating with you about your needs. Very helpful and supportive
