Dayvigo - clinical reference
A licensed healthcare practitioner can help you understand what applies to your specific situation.
The recommended dose of Dayvigo (Lemborexant) is 5 mg taken by mouth once per night, a few minutes before going to bed. Depending on how well it works and how well you tolerate the medication, your doctor may increase the dose. The maximum recommended dose is 10 mg at bedtime, however the lowest dose that helps you sleep should be used.
Do not take Dayvigo (Lemborexant) if you have less than 7 hours between the time you take the medication and the time you will wake up. It should be taken once per night only.
Dayvigo (Lemborexant) may be taken with or without food, however it may work slower if you take it with or right after a meal. Grapefruit juice can cause Dayvigo (Lemborexant) to build up in the body, causing increased effects. Avoid drinking grapefruit juice when taking Dayvigo (Lemborexant).
Many things can affect the dose of medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
It is important to take Dayvigo (Lemborexant) exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is not possible to get at least 7 hours of sleep before rising, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice .
Store Dayvigo (Lemborexant) at room temperature, protect it from light and moisture, and keep it out of the reach of children.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater (e.g. down the sink or in the toilet) or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some adverse effects, notably: it may cause headaches; it may cause unusual dreams; it may cause drowsiness that lasts until the next day - use caution until you know how you will react. Each person may react differently to a treatment. If you think this medication may be causing adverse effects (including those described here, or others), talk to your health care professional. He or she can help you to determine whether or not the medication is the source of the problem.

- stop taking one of the medications,
- change one of the medications to another,
- change how you are taking one or both of the medications, or
- leave everything as is.
An interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. Speak to your doctor about how any drug interactions are being managed or should be managed.
Medications other than those listed above may interact with Dayvigo (Lemborexant). Tell your doctor or prescriber about all prescription, over-the-counter (non-prescription), and herbal medications you are taking. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, alcohol, the Nicotine from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, you should let your prescriber know if you use them.
Before you begin using a medication, be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or Allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breast-feeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should use Dayvigo (Lemborexant).
Alcohol and other medications that cause drowsiness: Do not combine Dayvigo (Lemborexant) with alcohol or other medications (e.g., antidepressants, sleeping pills, anxiety medications) that cause drowsiness since additional drowsiness can occur, which can be dangerous. Taking Dayvigo (Lemborexant) with other medications that cause drowsiness increases the likelihood of experiencing drowsiness or decreased alertness during the day.
Breathing: Like other medications that affect the nervous system, Dayvigo (Lemborexant) can suppress breathing. If you have Asthma, or another lung disease that increases your risk for breathing difficulties, discuss with your doctor how Dayvigo (Lemborexant) may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Dayvigo (Lemborexant), and whether any special monitoring is needed.
Daytime drowsiness/reduced alertness: Even when taken at the lowest effective dose, Dayvigo (Lemborexant) may cause drowsiness or mental impairment in the daytime. The risk of daytime drowsiness is increased if Dayvigo (Lemborexant) is taken with less than a full night of sleep remaining (at least 7 hours). Avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing other tasks that require sound judgement until you have determined how you are affected by Dayvigo (Lemborexant).
Depression: Dayvigo (Lemborexant), like other medications to help with sleep, may cause mood swings and symptoms of depression, including thoughts of self-harm or suicide. If you have depression or a history of depression, discuss with your doctor how Dayvigo (Lemborexant) may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Dayvigo (Lemborexant), and whether any special monitoring is needed.
If you experience worsening or new symptoms of depression or such as poor concentration, changes in weight, changes in sleep, decreased interest in activities, or notice them in a family member who is taking Dayvigo (Lemborexant) contact your doctor as soon as possible.
Inappropriate Use: Like other medications for help with sleep problems, Dayvigo (Lemborexant) can be abused or used inappropriately. If you have a history of past or current Substance Use Problems you may be at greater risk of developing abuse or addiction while taking Dayvigo (Lemborexant).
Lactose: Dayvigo (Lemborexant) contains lactose. If you have hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption, discuss the appropriateness of Dayvigo (Lemborexant) with your doctor.
Liver function: Liver disease or reduced liver function may cause Dayvigo (Lemborexant) to build up in the body, causing side effects. If you have liver problems, discuss with your doctor how Dayvigo (Lemborexant) may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Dayvigo (Lemborexant), and whether any special monitoring is needed.
Memory disturbance: Medications such as Dayvigo (Lemborexant) can cause memory loss (amnesia). Amnesia of varying severity has been reported following normal doses of Dayvigo (Lemborexant).
Performing activities while not fully awake: People taking Dayvigo (Lemborexant) may perform activities such as sleepwalking, driving, preparing and eating food, and making phone calls while not fully awake and are unaware of their actions. The next morning, they may not remember what happened. This may be more likely to occur if you use alcohol or other sedative medications. If you discover this has happened to you, contact your doctor immediately.
Family members or caregivers of people who are taking Dayvigo (Lemborexant) should contact the person's doctor immediately if they notice any of these unusual behaviours.
Other sleep conditions: Dayvigo (Lemborexant) may cause episodes of sleep paralysis, an inability to move or speak when you are awakening. These episodes may last seconds to several minutes before normal movement is possible.
Dayvigo (Lemborexant) has also been associated with muscle weakness and waking dreams, mental images that occur during the transition from sleep to wakefulness and also when falling asleep.
Pregnancy: Dayvigo (Lemborexant) should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. If you become pregnant while taking Dayvigo (Lemborexant), contact your doctor immediately.
Breast-feeding: It is not known if Dayvigo (Lemborexant) passes into breast milk. If you are a breast-feeding mother and are taking Dayvigo (Lemborexant), it may affect your baby. Talk to your doctor about whether you should continue breast-feeding.

I reached out to a Pocketpills regarding some issues I was experiencing with my skin. The pharmacist assisting me got back to me within the hour. She was helpful in suggesting remedies and providing instructions. The prescription was filled instantaneously. The entire process was perfect - amazing communication, live updates through text, phone and email. The reminders were extremely helpful. Delivery was efficient and seamless. I felt cared for every step of the way. Thank you for everything
I wanted to make a change to the formulation of my prescription and the pharmacist promptly made the changes necessary to adapt my prescription to suit my skin. And delivered 2 days before scheduled. Thank you!

This is our first time experience of using Pocketpills. It was very convenient to prescribe the acne medication with pharmacist, rather than to have a long wait with a doctor. Thank you for the fast delivery and service!
Very reliable with fast shipping! The app is easy to use, fees are fair, and there is excellent communication! Highly recommend.

I got my prescription delivered for free within 4 business days. All went smoothly which was pretty good. This was easy and I will use it again.
Great and fast service. It's cheaper and easier than going to a pharmacy.
Time is the currency of life. Pocketpills gives me my time back. 100% recommend!
Super easy, lower prices, real Dr review. The pharmacist even reached out to me about my dosage. I feel very comfortable and well looked after by people who seem to actually care. It's been a great experience. So much so that I've recommended Pocket Pills to my friends and family.
Fast delivery even before estimated delivery date. Its great not having to go to a physical pharmacy. I highly reccommend pocketpills

I really, really appreciate this service, it makes staying on top of my medication so much easier. The team has also always been kind and helpful to me in every interaction I've had. The free shipping is incredibly nice, they keep me informed about the shipping process for my medication, and they manage my refills and contact my doctor if necessary. It takes a lot of little stresses off my plate, especially as someone with ADHD who is not the best at managing these little stresses. The app is also nicely organized and easy to use, and I can communicate with a pharmacist through text or call whenever I need. Not to be dramatic, but Pocket Pills has genuinely improved my life!
Pocketpill makes it easy and efficient to ship and deliver on time. Medication shouldn't be a source of stress - something Pocketpill seems to understand
I received all my prescriptions as promised, delivered straight to my door. So much easier than it ever has been to get my pills. Thanks!

Very fast and efficient service. They are good at communicating with you about your needs. Very helpful and supportive
