A licensed healthcare practitioner can help you understand what applies to your specific situation.
Cream/ointment: Apply a thin film to the affected skin areas once daily.
Lotion: Apply a few drops of the lotion to the affected skin areas (including scalp sites) once daily. Massage gently and thoroughly until the medication disappears.
Do not allow this product to get in your eyes. Severe irritation is possible if it contacts the eye. Should this occur, flush your eye immediately with a large amount of water.
Do not use an occlusive dressing (made of airtight material) to cover areas where Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate) has been applied unless otherwise directed by your doctor.
Mometasone should be used for a maximum of 5 days on the face, scalp, skin-fold areas, and groin; it should be used for a maximum of 3 weeks on the body.
Many things can affect the dose of medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are using the medication without consulting your doctor.
It is important that Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate) be used exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, use it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not apply a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Store Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate) at room temperature and keep it out of the reach of children.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater (e.g. down the sink or in the toilet) or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some adverse effects, notably: it may cause spots or redness of the skin; it may lighten the skin where it is applied. Each person may react differently to a treatment. If you think this medication may be causing adverse effects (including those described here, or others), talk to your health care professional. He or she can help you to determine whether or not the medication is the source of the problem.

There may be an interaction between mometasone and any of the following:
- Aldesleukin
- Ceritinib

- other topical medications that have irritating effects (e.g., retinoic acid, salicylic acid)
- other topical (skin-applied) medications that contain corticosteroids (e.g., Hydrocortisone)
If you are taking any of these medications, speak with your doctor or pharmacist. Depending on your specific circumstances, your doctor may want you to:
- stop taking one of the medications,
- change one of the medications to another,
- change how you are taking one or both of the medications, or
- leave everything as is.
An interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. Speak to your doctor about how any drug interactions are being managed or should be managed.
Medications other than those listed above may interact with Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate). Tell your doctor or prescriber about all prescription, over-the-counter (non-prescription), and herbal medications you are taking. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, alcohol, the Nicotine from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, you should let your prescriber know if you use them.
Before you begin using a medication, be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or Allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breast-feeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should use Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate).
Diabetes: When mometasone is used over large areas of the body for prolonged periods or under dressings that don't breathe it is possible that enough medication will absorb into the bloodstream to affect blood sugar levels. If you have diabetes, your doctor should closely monitor your condition while you are using mometasone, as it may affect blood sugar control.
Eyes: Use Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate) with care on lesions close to the eye. Getting the medication in the eye can increase the risk of increased eye pressure, Glaucoma, or Cataracts. Report any changes in vision or eye pain to your doctor.
Infections: Topical (skin-applied) corticosteroids may increase the risk of developing a skin infection. Mometasone should not be used on any infected area until the infection has cleared. If you notice symptoms of a skin infection such as redness, warmth, itching, pus, or swelling, contact your doctor.
Internal absorption: Medications containing topical (applied to the skin) corticosteroids such as mometasone can be absorbed into the bloodstream if used for prolonged periods of time on large areas of the body. Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate) should not be covered with an airtight bandage that does not breathe.
Medical treatment: Inform all medical professionals that you see that you have been using topical (skin-applied) corticosteroids.
Poor circulation: If you have poor blood circulation, talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of using Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate).
Prolonged use: Using topical corticosteroid medication for a long period of time can cause skin to thin or soften or cause stretch marks. Talk to your doctor about how long you should use Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate).
Thinning of skin: Prolonged use of topical corticosteroid products may produce thinning of the skin and tissues under it. If you notice this effect, contact your doctor.
Pregnancy: Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate) should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefits outweigh the risks. If you become pregnant while taking Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate), contact your doctor immediately.
Breast-feeding: It is not known if mometasone passes into breast milk. If you are a breast-feeding mother and are taking Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate), it may affect your baby. Talk to your doctor about whether you should continue breast-feeding.
Children: Children may be more likely to experience side effects from Taro Mometasone (Mometasone-furoate). The risk of side effects increases when large body areas are treated, when treatment lasts for a long time, and when dressings that don't breathe are used. In these situations, side effects similar to those caused by oral corticosteroids (e.g., growth suppression) may occur. Mometasone is not recommended for use in children less than 18 years of age.

I reached out to a Pocketpills regarding some issues I was experiencing with my skin. The pharmacist assisting me got back to me within the hour. She was helpful in suggesting remedies and providing instructions. The prescription was filled instantaneously. The entire process was perfect - amazing communication, live updates through text, phone and email. The reminders were extremely helpful. Delivery was efficient and seamless. I felt cared for every step of the way. Thank you for everything
I wanted to make a change to the formulation of my prescription and the pharmacist promptly made the changes necessary to adapt my prescription to suit my skin. And delivered 2 days before scheduled. Thank you!

This is our first time experience of using Pocketpills. It was very convenient to prescribe the acne medication with pharmacist, rather than to have a long wait with a doctor. Thank you for the fast delivery and service!
Very reliable with fast shipping! The app is easy to use, fees are fair, and there is excellent communication! Highly recommend.

I got my prescription delivered for free within 4 business days. All went smoothly which was pretty good. This was easy and I will use it again.
Great and fast service. It's cheaper and easier than going to a pharmacy.
Time is the currency of life. Pocketpills gives me my time back. 100% recommend!
Super easy, lower prices, real Dr review. The pharmacist even reached out to me about my dosage. I feel very comfortable and well looked after by people who seem to actually care. It's been a great experience. So much so that I've recommended Pocket Pills to my friends and family.
Fast delivery even before estimated delivery date. Its great not having to go to a physical pharmacy. I highly reccommend pocketpills

I really, really appreciate this service, it makes staying on top of my medication so much easier. The team has also always been kind and helpful to me in every interaction I've had. The free shipping is incredibly nice, they keep me informed about the shipping process for my medication, and they manage my refills and contact my doctor if necessary. It takes a lot of little stresses off my plate, especially as someone with ADHD who is not the best at managing these little stresses. The app is also nicely organized and easy to use, and I can communicate with a pharmacist through text or call whenever I need. Not to be dramatic, but Pocket Pills has genuinely improved my life!
Pocketpill makes it easy and efficient to ship and deliver on time. Medication shouldn't be a source of stress - something Pocketpill seems to understand
I received all my prescriptions as promised, delivered straight to my door. So much easier than it ever has been to get my pills. Thanks!

Very fast and efficient service. They are good at communicating with you about your needs. Very helpful and supportive
