Megace Os - clinical reference
A licensed healthcare practitioner can help you understand what applies to your specific situation.
The recommended dose depends on the condition being treated and body weight.
For people with prostate cancer, the recommended dose is 120 mg taken as a single daily dose in combination with diethylstilbestrol 0.1 mg.
For people with Breast Cancer, the usual dose is 160 mg daily. This dose may be divided into 4 equal doses of 40 mg.
For people with cancer of the endometrium, the usual dose is 80 mg to 320 mg daily, which can be divided into 40 mg tablets taken 2 to 4 times daily, or 160 mg tablets taken 1 to 2 times daily.
For people with cancer or AIDS and appetite loss, muscle wasting, or significant weight loss, the usual adult dose is 400 mg to 800 mg as a single daily dose. People with AIDS usually use the liquid form of Megace OS (Megestrol). Shake the liquid well before measuring the dose.
The effectiveness of Megace OS (Megestrol) acetate can be assessed after 2 months have passed following the start of therapy.
Many things can affect the dose of a medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
Megace OS (Megestrol) can be taken with or without food.
Use an oral syringe to measure each dose of the liquid, as it gives a more accurate measurement than household teaspoons.
It is important to take Megace OS (Megestrol) exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible and continue with your regular schedule. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
The tablets and liquid should be stored at room temperature in a cool, dry place.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater (e.g. down the sink or in the toilet) or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.
Each mL of lemon-lime flavoured oral suspension contains Megace OS (Megestrol) acetate 40 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: anhydrous citric acid, natural and artificial lemon-lime flavour, polyethylene glycol 1450, polysorbate 80, purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate dihydrate, sucrose, and xantham gum.

- leave everything as is.
An interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. Speak to your doctor about how any drug interactions are being managed or should be managed.
Medications other than those listed above may interact with Megace OS (Megestrol). Tell your doctor or prescriber about all prescription, over-the-counter (non-prescription), and herbal medications you are taking. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, alcohol, the Nicotine from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, you should let your prescriber know if you use them.
Before you begin taking a medication, be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or Allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breast-feeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should take Megace OS (Megestrol).

Discuss with your doctor how Megace OS (Megestrol) may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Megace OS (Megestrol), and whether any special monitoring is needed.
If you experience symptoms such as sharp pain and swelling in the leg, difficulty breathing, chest pain, blurred vision or difficulty speaking, contact your doctor immediately.

If you have kidney problems, discuss with your doctor how Megace OS (Megestrol) may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Megace OS (Megestrol), and whether any special monitoring is needed. Your doctor may want to test your liver function regularly with blood tests while you are taking Megace OS (Megestrol).

I reached out to a Pocketpills regarding some issues I was experiencing with my skin. The pharmacist assisting me got back to me within the hour. She was helpful in suggesting remedies and providing instructions. The prescription was filled instantaneously. The entire process was perfect - amazing communication, live updates through text, phone and email. The reminders were extremely helpful. Delivery was efficient and seamless. I felt cared for every step of the way. Thank you for everything
I wanted to make a change to the formulation of my prescription and the pharmacist promptly made the changes necessary to adapt my prescription to suit my skin. And delivered 2 days before scheduled. Thank you!

This is our first time experience of using Pocketpills. It was very convenient to prescribe the acne medication with pharmacist, rather than to have a long wait with a doctor. Thank you for the fast delivery and service!
Very reliable with fast shipping! The app is easy to use, fees are fair, and there is excellent communication! Highly recommend.

I got my prescription delivered for free within 4 business days. All went smoothly which was pretty good. This was easy and I will use it again.
Great and fast service. It's cheaper and easier than going to a pharmacy.
Time is the currency of life. Pocketpills gives me my time back. 100% recommend!
Super easy, lower prices, real Dr review. The pharmacist even reached out to me about my dosage. I feel very comfortable and well looked after by people who seem to actually care. It's been a great experience. So much so that I've recommended Pocket Pills to my friends and family.
Fast delivery even before estimated delivery date. Its great not having to go to a physical pharmacy. I highly reccommend pocketpills

I really, really appreciate this service, it makes staying on top of my medication so much easier. The team has also always been kind and helpful to me in every interaction I've had. The free shipping is incredibly nice, they keep me informed about the shipping process for my medication, and they manage my refills and contact my doctor if necessary. It takes a lot of little stresses off my plate, especially as someone with ADHD who is not the best at managing these little stresses. The app is also nicely organized and easy to use, and I can communicate with a pharmacist through text or call whenever I need. Not to be dramatic, but Pocket Pills has genuinely improved my life!
Pocketpill makes it easy and efficient to ship and deliver on time. Medication shouldn't be a source of stress - something Pocketpill seems to understand
I received all my prescriptions as promised, delivered straight to my door. So much easier than it ever has been to get my pills. Thanks!

Very fast and efficient service. They are good at communicating with you about your needs. Very helpful and supportive
