Anoro Ellipta - clinical reference
A licensed healthcare practitioner can help you understand what applies to your specific situation.
The recommended dose of umeclidinium - vilanterol is one inhalation taken once daily. Try to use the inhaler at the same time every day to get the most benefit from it and to help you remember to use it.
Have your doctor or pharmacist explain how to use the inhaler and read the instructions carefully before using the inhaler. If you have any questions about how to use the inhaler, check with your health care professional.
Open the inhaler only when you are going to use the medication immediately. Each time you open and close the cover, a dose is prepared for inhalation. If you do not use the dose, it will be wasted.
Many things can affect the dose of medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.
It is important that Anoro Ellipta be used exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
If you miss a dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Store Anoro Ellipta at room temperature, protect it from light and moisture, and keep it out of the reach of children.
Do not dispose of medications in wastewater (e.g. down the sink or in the toilet) or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.
In addition to its desired action, this medication may cause some adverse effects, notably: it may cause dryness of the mouth; it may cause diarrhea; it may cause a cough. Each person may react differently to a treatment. If you think this medication may be causing adverse effects (including those described here, or others), talk to your health care professional. He or she can help you to determine whether or not the medication is the source of the problem.

- leave everything as is.
An interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. Speak to your doctor about how any drug interactions are being managed or should be managed.
Medications other than those listed above may interact with Anoro Ellipta. Tell your doctor or prescriber about all prescription, over-the-counter (non-prescription), and herbal medications you are taking. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, alcohol, the Nicotine from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, you should let your prescriber know if you use them.
Before you begin using a medication, be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or Allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breast-feeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should use Anoro Ellipta.
Allergy: In rare cases, immediate allergic reactions may occur after using umeclidinium - vilanterol, causing Hives, swelling around the throat and tongue, rash, and worsening of breathing problems. If this occurs, get emergency medical help at once.
Asthma related death: The safety and effectiveness of using Anoro Ellipta to treat asthma symptoms have not been determined. Studies have shown an increase in deaths caused by severe asthma symptoms when LABA medications have been used without a corticosteroid. Anoro Ellipta should not be used by people with asthma.
Diabetes: Umeclidinium - vilanterol may cause an increase in blood sugar levels and glucose tolerance may change. If you have diabetes or are at risk for developing diabetes, discuss with your doctor how Anoro Ellipta may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Anoro Ellipta, and whether any special monitoring is needed. People with diabetes may find it necessary to monitor their blood sugar more frequently while using Anoro Ellipta.
Glaucoma: Umeclidinium may cause symptoms of glaucoma (increased pressure in the eyes), such as blurred vision or eye pain or pressure to become worse. If you have glaucoma, discuss with your doctor how Anoro Ellipta may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Anoro Ellipta, and whether any special monitoring is needed.
Heart conditions: Anoro Ellipta can cause an increase in blood pressure or heart rate in addition to changes to the heart rhythm. If you have any heart conditions, discuss with your doctor how Anoro Ellipta may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Anoro Ellipta, and whether any special monitoring is needed.
Heart rhythm: Beta-2 agonists, such as vilanterol, can cause changes to the normal rhythm of the heart, including an irregular heartbeat called QT prolongation. QT prolongation is a serious life-threatening condition that can cause fainting, seizures, and sudden death. If you are at risk for heart rhythm problems (e.g., people with heart failure, Angina, low potassium or magnesium levels), discuss with your doctor how Anoro Ellipta may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Anoro Ellipta, and whether any special monitoring is needed.

It is very important that you have your "rescue" medication with you at all times. If you have not been given instructions beforehand, contact your doctor immediately about what to do if any of the following situations occur (they may be signs of seriously worsening COPD):

I reached out to a Pocketpills regarding some issues I was experiencing with my skin. The pharmacist assisting me got back to me within the hour. She was helpful in suggesting remedies and providing instructions. The prescription was filled instantaneously. The entire process was perfect - amazing communication, live updates through text, phone and email. The reminders were extremely helpful. Delivery was efficient and seamless. I felt cared for every step of the way. Thank you for everything
I wanted to make a change to the formulation of my prescription and the pharmacist promptly made the changes necessary to adapt my prescription to suit my skin. And delivered 2 days before scheduled. Thank you!

This is our first time experience of using Pocketpills. It was very convenient to prescribe the acne medication with pharmacist, rather than to have a long wait with a doctor. Thank you for the fast delivery and service!
Very reliable with fast shipping! The app is easy to use, fees are fair, and there is excellent communication! Highly recommend.

I got my prescription delivered for free within 4 business days. All went smoothly which was pretty good. This was easy and I will use it again.
Great and fast service. It's cheaper and easier than going to a pharmacy.
Time is the currency of life. Pocketpills gives me my time back. 100% recommend!
Super easy, lower prices, real Dr review. The pharmacist even reached out to me about my dosage. I feel very comfortable and well looked after by people who seem to actually care. It's been a great experience. So much so that I've recommended Pocket Pills to my friends and family.
Fast delivery even before estimated delivery date. Its great not having to go to a physical pharmacy. I highly reccommend pocketpills

I really, really appreciate this service, it makes staying on top of my medication so much easier. The team has also always been kind and helpful to me in every interaction I've had. The free shipping is incredibly nice, they keep me informed about the shipping process for my medication, and they manage my refills and contact my doctor if necessary. It takes a lot of little stresses off my plate, especially as someone with ADHD who is not the best at managing these little stresses. The app is also nicely organized and easy to use, and I can communicate with a pharmacist through text or call whenever I need. Not to be dramatic, but Pocket Pills has genuinely improved my life!
Pocketpill makes it easy and efficient to ship and deliver on time. Medication shouldn't be a source of stress - something Pocketpill seems to understand
I received all my prescriptions as promised, delivered straight to my door. So much easier than it ever has been to get my pills. Thanks!

Very fast and efficient service. They are good at communicating with you about your needs. Very helpful and supportive
