DRUG INFORMATION

Trosec - clinical reference

A licensed healthcare practitioner can help you understand what applies to your specific situation.

The recommended dose of Trosec (Trospium) is 20 mg twice daily, at least one hour before meals or on an empty stomach. Lower daily doses may be needed for people with severe kidney function impairment and for people 75 years and older.

Many things can affect the dose of a medication that a person needs, such as body weight, other medical conditions, and other medications. If your doctor has recommended a dose different from the ones listed here, do not change the way that you are taking the medication without consulting your doctor.

It is very important to take Trosec (Trospium) exactly as prescribed. If you miss a dose of Trosec (Trospium), take your next dose at the usual time (on an empty stomach at least one hour before your next meal). Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. If you are not sure what to do after missing a dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist for advice.

Store Trosec (Trospium) at room temperature and keep it out of the reach of children.

Do not dispose of medications in wastewater (e.g. down the sink or in the toilet) or in household garbage. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medications that are no longer needed or have expired.

Each brownish-yellow, biconvex, glossy coated tablet imprinted with a "T" contains 20 mg of Trosec (Trospium) chloride. Nonmedicinal ingredients: sucrose, wheat starch, microcrystalline cellulose, talc, lactose monohydrate, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, stearic acid, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, polyethylene glycol 8000, colloidal silicon dioxide, ferric oxide, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, white wax, and carnauba wax.

Do not take Trosec (Trospium) if you:

  • are allergic to Trosec (Trospium) or to any ingredients of the medication
  • have or are at risk for gastric retention (delayed emptying of the stomach)
  • have or are at risk for uncontrolled narrow-angle Glaucoma
  • have or are at risk for urinary retention (an inability to empty the bladder)

There may be an interaction between Trosec (Trospium) and any of the following:

If you are taking any of these medications, speak with your doctor or pharmacist. Depending on your specific circumstances, your doctor may want you to:

  • stop taking one of the medications,
  • change one of the medications to another,
  • change how you are taking one or both of the medications, or
  • leave everything as is.

An interaction between two medications does not always mean that you must stop taking one of them. Speak to your doctor about how any drug interactions are being managed or should be managed.

Medications other than those listed above may interact with Trosec (Trospium). Tell your doctor or prescriber about all prescription, over-the-counter (non-prescription), and herbal medications that you are taking. Also tell them about any supplements you take. Since caffeine, decongestants, alcohol, the Nicotine from cigarettes, or street drugs can affect the action of many medications, you should let your prescriber know if you use them.

Before you begin using a medication, be sure to inform your doctor of any medical conditions or Allergies you may have, any medications you are taking, whether you are pregnant or breast-feeding, and any other significant facts about your health. These factors may affect how you should use Trosec (Trospium).

If you have Kidney Disease or decreased kidney function, discuss with your doctor how Trosec (Trospium) may affect your medical condition, how your medical condition may affect the dosing and effectiveness of Trosec (Trospium), and whether any special monitoring is needed.

This is our first time experience of using Pocketpills. It was very convenient to prescribe the acne medication with pharmacist, rather than to have a long wait with a doctor. Thank you for the fast delivery and service!

It has genuinely improved my life
It has genuinely improved my life

I really, really appreciate this service, it makes staying on top of my medication so much easier. The team has also always been kind and helpful to me in every interaction I've had. The free shipping is incredibly nice, they keep me informed about the shipping process for my medication, and they manage my refills and contact my doctor if necessary. It takes a lot of little stresses off my plate, especially as someone with ADHD who is not the best at managing these little stresses. The app is also nicely organized and easy to use, and I can communicate with a pharmacist through text or call whenever I need. Not to be dramatic, but Pocket Pills has genuinely improved my life!
